Food Hygiene Training

Our course tutors are experienced Environmental Health Officers with many years of local government enforcement experience. We are a registered Training Centre with Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC). We deliver group training which is great for staff bonding and learning together. We run open and closed courses at local venues or we can travel to you. Candidates sit the HABC exam or our own in house exam, the certificates provide evidence of compliance with  Food Safety Law [Regulation EC 852/2004]. On the rare occasion where candidates don't pass we offer an Attendance Certificate. We can provide training anywhere in the UK but mainly operate in North Devon, North Cornwall, Somerset and Gloucestershire (Bideford, Barnstaple, Holsworthy, Ilfracombe, Bude, Taunton, Bristol, Cheltenham, Bath and Birmingham and London). The training is interactive, relaxed and friendly. We adapt the learning experience to individual needs with a blend of activities to keep learners engaged and asking questions. We believe there is no substitute for face to face learning.

Let's bust some food safety myths and plug those knowledge gaps, you'll have a good day out, meet new people and gain confidence and competence in food safety.

HACCP Risk Management

(Food Safety Management)

We undertake HACCP studies, process flow charts, risk scored hazard analysis and identification of critical controls using decision trees. We use a methodical approach to ensure the seven principles of HACCP are fulfilled in compliance with Regulation EC 852/2005 Article 5. We review your food safety policy and food hygiene prerequisite programmes (PRP's/OPRP's) linking these as an integral part of your HACCP Plan and referenced to legal compliance, industry guides and international standards. Working alongside staff promotes inclusion, empowerment and a safety first culture. My associates and I have done hundreds of local authority inspections and third party audits. Contact us for referrals on SALSA /BRC guidance.

For smaller food businesses with simpler processes, we can adapt generic HACCP plans linked to food safety procedures and prerequisite programmes. This could include a bespoke system working in harmony with the Food Standards Agency's Safer Food Better Business Pack for example.
